I’m not a fan of the sternum strap on my otherwise beloved SWD Rugged Long Haul, so I’m looking for a replacement. Something simple like MLD’s would be perfect, but the hardware is intended for 3/4″ webbing and SWD uses 5/8″ webbing for the daisy chains on their shoulder straps. Obviously it will fit, but I’m concerned the smaller webbing will not create enough friction for the slider to stay put. If not MLD’s, does anyone know of a similar sternum strap intended for 5/8″ webbing?
