I am looking for a 3-5 day trip with my 22 year old son. He is definitely not into backpacking (or physical output of any sorts) but he wants to go to a nice lake and fish for dinner. I told him I would take him but backpacking is required…… Who knows maybe he will end up liking it. I know nothing about fishing so could anyone recommend a lake to backpack to somewhere on the east side of the Rockies? I am thinking about 8 miles a day of easy to moderate hiking and even staying a whole day at a lake is fine. I will be coming from Wisconsin so Wyoming/Colorado are reasonable drives for me.
