The below took place some weeks ago. Notice the left hand window showing how this eagle is being mobbed by ravens. And how her cries for help and warning are finally answered. Live cams are operating for those who want to follow the three (!!!) chicks and their parents. Storms are a’comin soon!
edit: wait, there’s a later video of crows mobbing Jackie and her wing slapping them 16 times.
“I’ve been battling the raven all day. Where have you been?”

She wasn’t impressed.
Ravens will follow you. Some say it’s good luck, but really they associate humans with trash. I don’t care much for ravens. They eat the babies. Feeding the birds attracts them.

to be honest, Shadow–the male eagle, is constantly bringing killed prey back to the nest. So is Jackie, the mother.
the last few days have dumped tons of snow on the nest, which is 130 feet up in a Jeffrey Pine. I mean, it’s been a tough go.
It’s cool that they take turns.
Now I’m in mourning.
