Lightweight Wood Saws for Backpacking

For backpacking, I haven’t found a better overall saw than the Opinel Pruning Saw.

I’m still very partial to Jan’s ultralight Silky mod; I’ve done a LOT of cutting with mine – including a dozen cuts on 4″ to 5″ dried oak just a few days ago – and have never had an issue with it…and I’m not as careful with that saw as I should be.  The 170mm blade is more than up to most tasks.
