I’m thinking of using a Snow Peak 600 as my pot. Does any one know a cup that would fit over the 600? I think being outside the 600 would allow the use of a cozy for coffee.

Thanks, Steve

Not to dodge your otherwise simple question, but If you put a cup outside the pot, you will have the dirty side of the pot against the clean side of your cup.  In this size range what about making a cozy for the 600 and using that as your cup?  There are smaller cups you can put inside the 600 pot if you want to have both food and a hot drink at the same time.

That being said, Snow Peak makes the Mini-Solo kit.  I have the original and it has a short cup with a taller pot that sits inside it.  I’ve made a cozy for the cup and it all nests nicely with plenty of room in the pot for a small canister and stove, or a TD cone setup with alchy and esbit.

They also made a version with a silicon cup – not sure that would fit over your SP 600, but it’s cheap on their website.  SP also made an updated version of the Ti Mini-Solo with a larger volume cup.

Hey Bob, thanks. This would be as you say, for food and hot drink at the same time. The outside of a pot used exclusively with a canister stove would be clean enough for me.

Some background, I’ve been using a SP 700 for a while. I like the way everything fits inside, but I’m still looking for a cup for coffee.  I found an old thread for nesting a cut down HDPE jar inside the 700, which was helpful. But I don’t think a cup like that would hold a 110 canister when you reduce the diameter to fit the cup + a cozy inside the 700. Since most of my trips are solo with just boil water meals, I figured I could use a smaller pot which could work with the cup moved to the outside.

I feel I’m doing a bad job explaining this. Basically I’m willing to have instant coffee, but I’d like to find a light and simple way to have a cup of hot liquid that I can comfortably hold, while not adding a hint-of-black coffee-flavor to all my meals.

ETA: I had the the SP Silicone cup, I just didn’t like putting hot liquids in something so squishy.

It fits in the 900ml pot.  The SCS-008T.

…sorry about the lid for the 900.
