I’m looking for a lightweight tripod with a grill for cooking fish or holding pots/pans over a campfire. I’m liking the weight of the Solo Stove Tripod at 1.2 pounds but looking for a grill (preferably fold-able) like the Coleman Tripod Grill (though 5.5 pounds is too heavy). I’d like to keep the whole thing under 2 pounds if possible. I found this comparison link without any really good options. (Staked grills won’t really work because of sandy soil, and free-standing grates are difficult to adjust the height. I found some suggestions of using a rope and chain over a tree limb instead, but my main camping spot doesn’t really have good options for this.)

Seems like it would be easy enough to mod the solo stove tripod to use a grill.
Doug, that’s my plan as of now–I’m looking for a collapsible lightweight circle grill that I could rig up. I’ve found very small rectangle options (and one triangle option that would only work with stakes).
Not sure you’ll find a circle one, why not just put two rectangular ones together with some type of clips?
Here is an example of a 32″ circle grate that folds in half. I’m looking for something probably half this size.
