Looks like they did not reduce the size of the regular Plex Solo, which is great-just changed floor to .75/oz per sq yard and guy lines went to 1.3mm. The weight really is incredible.

It is light. But the weight doesn’t include the 10 stakes needed to set it up. And of course they recommend a footprint given the floor weight.
No internal mesh pockets, either.
Trade offs for sure. But sub 12oz is pretty incredible.
For packs, sleeping bags and tents:
Weight x price = 400 pound-dollars.
Walmart: 8 pounds x $50
Sportsman’s Warehouse: 4 pounds x $100
REI: 2 pounds x $200
UL cottage: 1 pound x $400
SUL cottage: 2/3 pound x $600
@David that’s pretty accurate.
The lightest tents are also the ones most likely to fail when you need them most. That low number of ounces is as much a marketing strategy as it is a weight savings.
I’ve been very happy with my Plexamid, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this upgrade. Of course, the Aeon Li also looks fantastic. If I downsize my dog, I will be going back to a 1p tent.
I have the regular Plex Solo-13oz-ish. I see no issue with the light version. Many do the 2.0mm to 1.3mm guy line mod without much issue already. Having a slightly less robust floor seems like a better trade off than making the tent smaller.
