Looking for a model that can handle up to larger phones (like iPhone 8+ size). The Ulanzi ST-03 with cold shoe mount looks excellent, but it’s metal and weighs 2.8 oz and thought there may be lighter durable plastic ones out there. Appreciate any suggestions.
Joby makes one that is over 2x the price if I recall, with the only advantage that it allows portrait mounting and not just landscape, whereas the Ulanzi and most mounts are limited to landscape.
Anyone know of any lighter smartphone holders that have a cold shoe on top?
2.8 oz looks pretty good. I have a $7 plastic clamp, with no cold shoe. It weighs 2.5 oz on my scale.
