Recently spent a few weeks on the Brittany Coast Trail (GR34). Didn’t know if we could find hotel space or would be camping so tried to bring a minimal camping set up for their public campgrounds (old dash-2 REI tent (44 oz) , luxury sleeping pad (19 oz) for partner, minimal pad for me (9 oz) , and two quilts (16 oz and 24 oz). We ended up only camping once, when we couldn’t find a hotel. Wondering what others do. Obviously best would be to know conditions in advance but … what do you do when you don’t know for sure?
