Greeting Gang,

I have a set of Leki trekking poles (Cristallo)  that have recently begun to fail. The adjustable sections (it’s a 3 section pole) are coming apart where each section meets the plastic clamp lock section below. Does anyone have advice on a good glue/repair for this issue?

Send them back to Leki per the web site with an explanation and I betting they will support your problem.

I had better luck by going through a leki dealer than the website, but yes, they should take care of that. They warranty their products well in my experience.

My original email went to service@leki.com with description of the issue. The follow up individual (Karen Kane) that handled my issue was karen@leki.com.

They will give you a RA# and direction for sending your pole(s) to them.

LEKI USA, Inc
ATTN: RA# ?????
458 Sonwil Drive
Buffalo, NY 14225P

Note: Your RA number is only valid for three (3) months after you receive it. Should you send the warranty item past the three month mark please call Customer Service to obtain a new RA number.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Good to hear. I emails about a broken Segment of my pole and never got a response at all.  So I went through the returns guy at the shop I worked at and had a new segment in a week.

I need a new tip for the other pole now (the carbide? Tip compacted into the plastic tip assembly and now I just have a nub that is wearing down) but i’ve been hesitant to bother since I got no response. Maybe I’ll try Karen directly.
thanks ken!

Thanks everyone for your responses . Leki responded to my request for help via their website within a few business days and a helpful Customer Service rep (“Sarah”) got replacement parts in the mail to me.

My gut reaction was not to contact the company directly since I had long lost any receipt for the purchase, but I guess as a rule of thumb that should be a first move!

Now they have a loyal customer for life, right Tom?  :-)

Ha! Osprey has me for life – they did me more than right by replacing my pack for free after my AT thru hike.  The jury is still out on Leki.  That pole problem happened with under 100 miles on it.  I had a pair of Black Diamonds last all of the AT and they still rock but they won’t collapse anymore so I tried those Lekis. We’ll see! – TK
