I am also interested in the snow levels in general in the southern sierras. I am planning a trip for early next month.
As of May 19th (NOHRSC Interactive Snow Information):
I’ll let you know when I come back. I leave tomorrow for King’s Canyon and start the loop counter-clockwise Sunday with my first night at Lake Reflection or Vidette Meadow.
Make sure you bring crampons. I’ve done this loop twice in April and went C/C so I wouldn’t need to take them.
Getting over Glen is too steep going clockwise without crampons.
How did you get there in April? Isn’t the road closed?
I’m going counterclockwise.
