    Hey All!

Anybody using Krud Kutter to clean DCF??  If so, any ill effects?

    Thanks!

I wouldn’t risk it. What’s on yer DCF that Dawn detergent can’t handle?

The most “toxic” thing I’ve used on my Notch Li is 70% isopropyl alcohol to clean areas on the hem fly I was about to apply DCF tape and then Tenacious tape for reinforcement before sewing on 4 stake loops.

Usual advice, test in a spot first.

Thanks, All!  Yes, always best to spot test and it never hurts to be reminded.

The item in question is a coffee stained White HMG Southwest pack.  I didn’t use Dawn because of information on HMG’s website  “”First, we recommend using non-detergent and non-oil based soaps with warm water to spot clean your pack….”  Not being a DCF expert I squelched the temptation of using Dawn and went to plan B.  Long story/short: Turns out plain water removes the coffee stain. yay.

    Best!
