They are best used with a sleeping bag for cooler weather, but i’ve used mine with a quilt so far down to 26, by combining it with a 1/4 evazote pad underneath, and a much wider 1/8 evazote pad on top of the Klymit air mattress–helps to still the air that is in the “loft pockets” a bit (more than it would normally w/out a sleeping bag at least).
I wouldn’t use it for serious cold though, for that i use a Neo Air All Season (sometimes plus an evazote foam pad). Â Actually, i might try it sometime in combo with a light sleeping bag + lightish quilt and evazote foam. Â Doesn’t look we will get any extreme cold temps anytime soon around here though.
But yeah, Â nice sale.
