The video does not show the tantrum in the rain late the first night we had to hike through, my sore hips from carrying that ridiculous pack, M’s insomnia on night two from the many midnight nursings, or any of the other things which make backpacking with an infant/toddler a pain. I intended to pull out the GoPro during those moments, but was just too tired.

Nonetheless totally worth the effort, though next time we’re daily down the mileage to give both the kiddo and us (more relevant) longer breaks.

Dang.  I have a 10 month old and I’ll stick to car camping till she can carry most of her own stuff.  Kudos to you.  Did mom have a pretty heavy pack?
