I’m looking for a reasonably lightweight kids bag or quilt, 20 deg or similar, approx. 1.5 lbs or less and less than 150$. I’ve been thinking about the EE Protege. Any other recommendations?

At that pricepoint a S/H Tamarack would do it A couple have sold here recently around that price

Chris have you thought of just getting her/him a used full sized down quilt. A 20 deg. EE quilt would do the trick at under 24 oz for sure. You may decide it would be worth a little bigger investment for a piece of gear that could be used for years to come. Just thinking out load here.
