Kelty Tru Comfort Doublewide 20 Degree Sleeping Bag

I’m going on a camping trip to yosemite with my baby, who like to sleep at a t angle next to me, which means to keep him under the covers I need a double sleeping bag, and also one I can adjust to not cover his head but still cover the rest of him (its an annoying sleeping habit)

The kelty looks like it would be the most optimal but it is a BEAST for size, and not something I’m sure I could take on a plane without filling my suitcase 70% (even with a compression sack).

Is there a similar, smaller option out there?

We took our 2 year old to Lassen and tried sleeping with him under a quilt. Well, I did. My wife was smart and used my Kelty Cosmic 20. My kid kicked the quilt off me the first two nights and it was cold enough for him to get super pissed because he was cold. We went into town the 3rd night and bought him his own bag and told him to keep it on him or he would get cold. He complied. Not sure old your baby is, but if you must co-sleep, I’d suggest something to keep the drafts at bay. My friends bought the z-packs double quilt and took it to Catalina a couple weekends ago and said it worked great.
