Anyone have any experience with the katabatic gear flex 15 or grenadier? Looking do upgrade my quilt system and am wanting one that can withstand lower temps. Wondering if the flex hold up to that 15 degree comfort rating. Thanks everyone

I have a Flex22 and it’s conservatively rated….except I have persistently had cold feet, I think due to the drawstring footbox. I also have a Sawatch, and my feet are much warmer in it, even though the temp rating is only 7 degrees different. Maybe your feet don’t get cold and you’ll be fine in a Flex15. Or maybe you will need some down booties.
@mammoman do you like the flex model? I may sell my UGQ 20 degree and just get a flex 15
@Shae-
The Flex quilt is typical Katabatic quality, i.e. extremely high. I’m almost certain that my issue is just cold feet exacerbated by using a drawstring footbox. My 15 degree Sawatch (sewn-in footbox) is a toaster- I’ve taken it down to 8 F with just baselayers and been fine.
I have just received a Nunatak Arc 30 with an overstuffed footbox that I’m going to test out this fall in conditions where I previously would’ve taken the Flex.
I’ve heard really good things about the Nunatak. I live in CO so I definitely want to support a local company. I figure I may get a flex 15 for backpacking 3 season conditions and maybe a grenadier for the winter. Just wanting to heard from more people who have used these
