Karl Meltzer is currently on the AT, about half way done heading south.

he is on track for a new record but is fighting an injury.

Karl is closing in on Springer. Looks to be in great shape to take down Jurek’s supported record by 4-5 hours.

Karl Meltzer set a new AT supported record today.

He finished in 45d 22h 38m, travelling southbound.

Karl beat Scott Jureck’s northbound record by 9hrs 29 min

and Karl beat Jen Davis’ southbound record by 12hrs 42min

[Vandweller Feller]

Met him in Vermont on my thruhike. He stopped and talked and took a picture with us so I’m glad he didn’t miss the record by 10 mins. Happy to here he finally got it. Heard he finished on an 80 mile day.
