Got a permit 9/9 after 3 trys but a later start from Happy Isles than I wanted. Thinking about what extra warm items I should bring for the cooler nights in the alpine, like long underwear, maybe down or a Senchi type legging? Have in past used Patagonia mid-weight top/bottom but hoping for a lighter weight with same results. Thoughts?

For shoulder season I bring a lightweight fleece pullover in addition to my puffy, and generally would not bring thermal leggings to sleep in (but my WM ultralight is rated to 15 degrees). I do sleep in a long sleeve merino hoody, and will add a fleece beanie if temps dip into the 30’s.
I think an AD60 or 90 and wind pants are a good combo in that scenario-depending on your bag temperature. We got obliterated in late Sept. one year when temps went from 40’s to 16F, sleet, snow, etc. Luckily it was just one bad day but it was a miserable night.
