Hello,
Does anyone have any current experience with Janji Auras ultrafleece hoodie?
They list it as 71g/sm and ~4.6oz (Octa fleece mimic fabric).
Just curious if their fabric is anywhere near as good as the old MH air mesh Octa.
Thanks!
Andy

Finally got to wear it on a long but moderate bike ride.
over a fishnet and under a wind jacket.
its very light, barley there type of feel. Deep chest zip allowed me to dump heat on hills. Much less “plush and fluffy feeling than the new version of MH airmesh.
didn’t really get a chance to get it wet or sweaty so I’ll have to see how it does with moisture as the true test of its value, but 1st wear was positive!
Nice find Andrew!
They say its a custom 71gsm fabric but blowing up the pics and comparing to the 80gsm stuff used in the GOAT NLA Mountain Hardwear Airmesh, it looks like identical construction.
The weight (132g) is inline with my medium quarter zip Airmesh (130g) accounting for the difference in fabric weight and the hood.
The long arms look optimized for cycling, but this looks like it could be a nice replacement for the original MH Airmesh.
PS not to get TMI about it, but interested in knowing if it gets a bit “randy”. Octa gets smelly faster than AD but its not nearly as bad as really inexpensive poly shirts. That might be one way to tell if this is an inexpensive knock off or the real deal.
Thank you for the insights David!
Ill have to try some sort of stink test to see where the Janji ranks!
This may finally be my push to go ahead in some AD 60 garments. IF I can find them
