Frankly, yes – you should worry.  If you did not receive a confirmation then hopefully you were not charged.  Without a confirmation (and order number) it will be hard to cancel the order.  See this thread for some experience others have had dealing with him.  I hope everything turns out okay, but you may want to start looking for another net tent.  Six Moon Designs perhaps?

Especially given the history.  I sincerely hope you are happy with the product you receive. Everyone deserves an opportunity for redemption. Please let us know how it works out…I would prefer not to retain a negative opinion that might no longer be true.

I pitched it in my livigroom and Im glad to report that I received exactly what i expected. Nice build quality!

My only complaint is that I didnt receive a orderconfirmation with a trackingnuber, but as long as Ive receive a nice product Im happy :)

In the past year, I’ve placed two separate orders with John..both received in a very timely fashion…and both of top shelf quality

one piece that there does seem to be consistency on is his “ communication” ( or, lack there of )…lots of silence…basically, you place your order…and, then , when he’s done, u will get a notice that it’s shipped.

Following threads like this over the years, it seems that when things go well John produces excellent work. But there have been times when he let people down very badly indeed. With this kind of inconsistency, you have to suspect a health issue.

He offers some interesting and unique products at very fair prices, but if you do decide to take the risk, probably best to use a form of payment where you can initiate a chargeback if the deal goes bad…
