Over the years, I’ve had a number of INOV-8 trail runners and loved every one of them. Recently, I got the Roclite 400 Pro G GTX and the X-Talon Ultra 260 and have taken them for a spin or two.
I have the Roclite 325 GTX so I had a general sense of what to expect from the 400 Pro G. I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable yet responsive it is. A much better shoe than the 325. A winner.
My first INOV-8 was the X-Talon 212. Foot fitting like a glove and very flexible. The Ultra 260 offers the same 8mm lugs but the fit is completely different then the 212. The 260 has a roomy footbox and, surprisingly, a cushioned ride. Very comfortable. The lugs allowed me to negotiate a wet mountain both up and down. It gripped like crazy. It’s definitely a winner in my book.
