Thanks! I sat down to contemplate how I would fix this, and then saw how simple it would be. The white ribbon is there to pull the drawstring through the label, and hopefully be slightly visible at night.
I have a couple other bags that need this mod but no conveniently located fabric label channel. May use your idea for them.
