I live in the northeast and am looking to sneak a 3-4 day backpacking trip in Idaho this fall. Does anyone have any trail or route recommendations? I have only been to the Yellowstone area of Idaho, would love to checkout somewhere in The Frank, the Sawtooth’s but open to any suggestions. Thanks!
I did 5 nights in the Cecil D. Andrus White Clouds Wilderness Area at the end of July. Â Route was about 30-40 miles.
I went with some scouts. Â I have PDF maps of a number of routes in the Sawtooths that terminate around the Reddish Lake Lodge. I should be able to send the gpx file for my route. Â It had a few miles of off trail fun. Lots of lakes in the area if you like to fish.

Our route ended to the south at the Fourth of July lake trailhead.
We stayed in Stanley the night before our trip.
