I need guidance which forum category to post my inquiry.

Hi,
My name is Rod Java and I am the innovator of the StickPic at http://www.thestickpic.com.

I have a new “one size fits all” StickPic which I am developing and would like to ask the membership for help. I would like to create a post which would ask for some members to try the new prototype StickPic and then give me comments and suggestions for improvements before I go to a final production.

Which forum category would I be allowed to make such a post?  I would like to be in full compliance with your posting guidelines.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Gear Deals, but note that a discount for BPL members IS required.
I thought I had done a review of the first model, but I can’t find it.

Cheers

Roger,
Thanks for the link.
Do you have any suggestions how I can reach out to the most experienced of the membership to see if they would be part of the prototype testing. I’m not in a position to make the offer to just anybody in the membership.

I’m not charging for the samples I send out or asking for any returns.  If you have a list of members who have reviewed several gear items, that would be helpful.

You could crowd-source the selection process: ask people to nominate another BPLer for a complimentary unit to test.  I’ll start by pointing out that Philip Tschersich posts links to many fabulous videos of himself hiking, pack-rafting and sea kayaking around on Kodiak Island, Alaska.

Hi Rod

Coordinating testing by members is not something we have done much of or been particularly successful at in the past.

Asking prospective testers to contact you direct might be the best idea, although how you go about assessing them I cannot say. Posting such a request here in this channel is probably your best bet.

Cheers
