Been away from BPL for a while. Seems like there used to be a button that would Quote a post in a reply, which included the name of the person quoted. Can that be done on this new site?

There’s a block quote button above the visual text editor. It should be the third button, after Bold and Italic. It does not include the name of the original author.

You still have to copy/paste the text to be quoted, correct?
