One additional thought is to check local holidays as you plan your trip. It can be very frustrating to arrive at a location hoping to get a permit or other service and all governmental offices/businesses are closed for several days. Do not expect officials to be available early in the morning, late in the afternoon or on a Friday afternoon. Credit cards may or may not be accepted. Have fun!
