I have a cheap tent I want to put my stove in for my winter base camp use.
Has anybody got any idea of how hot a 75mm flue would be about 1600mm up?
The silicon roofing boot I was going to use only has a safe maximum temperature of 200C and that might not be good enough.
It’s a reasonable big stove from Helsport but a small flue; to minimise wood consumption I think.
I’ve left it too late to get a smaller flue guard, the Helsport flue guard works well with their lavvu but it is too large a diametre to work with these small silicon bootsMay 14, 2021 at 5:50 am #3712508I think you’ll be good at that distance. My small tent is less than that and I’ve had no problems with a grey silicone fabric stove jack.

I was also thinking of using a short heat exchange on the first meter. Got some scraps of plastering steel battens here -
