I’m getting ready to head out on a 46 mile 4 day thru-hike and it will be more enjoyable with this awesome pack. I haven’t been in love for quite a long time, but this is serious. https://hyperlitemountaingear.com/products/waypoint-35?variant=41888948617261

For those who have the lightest gear and the experience, 35 liters should be enough for 3 season use. Of course taking advantage of multi-use items and packing only the true necessities also helps.

At 24.9 oz (L) the Waypoint 35 is only a tad heavier than most frameless packs, but it carries loads over 10 lbs infinitely better (TPW). Do you need to load up extra water for a long stretch to the next source? no problem. On the other hand that can get miserable with a frameless pack, especially when you add a few days of food. But with a frame there’s also no fussing about having everything packed just right in order to get the proper rigidity. And what’s more a frame assures you can you have the optimum amount of weight displaced on the hips instead of it being mostly on the shoulders.

HMG recommends a 10 lb max base pack weight, however with the solid frame I find it can handle a 20 lb  total pack weight with no problem.
