I have been wearing the old REI Sahara pants because they have a crotch gusset. I have picked up quite a few of these over the years on eBay.  I was wondering if there were other, newer hiking pants out there that have a crotch gusset also?  Thank you.

THIS list gives descriptions as to which hiking pants have a gusseted crotch that they liked at Greenbelly

I’ve worn this brand and style of pant for many years and like them:

Take a look around at their other styles and models.

They use to have a mostly nylon pant with about 3% spandex that didn’t have all the cargo pockets.  I’m not a fan of multiple pockets.

Most Kuhl pants have that feature. The various SilencR pants are good.

Wasn’t that Gramicci’s original big, patented idea?  Crotch-gusseted climbing pants?  In cotton in the 1980s.  We all had a pair or two as shorts and in long pants.

I’ve got a few pair in nylon that work well for me as hiking pants, until I butt-slide down snow fields.  I wish they used a thicker material in the seat here in Alaska, but they are lightweight and nice in the tropics since they dry quickly.

DULUTH TRADING  make all their pants with generous crotch gussets. Same with their shirts (under arm gussets).

I have 3 pair of DT pants and 2 pair of their shorts. All are excellent quality. I prefer them to RailRiders because they seem to be the same quality but lower price.

Years ago I had come across Duluth and was impressed with their quality. For one reason or another the name became lost to me and I’ve been trying to remember it ever since. It’s so random to come across it again. Thanks Eric. The Arcteryx Sullivan pant has a gusseted crotch and knee

BTW, I’ve tried to fit my bod into Fjalraven hiking pants. They are so fashionably skinny-legged that my calves were making that area skin tight.

My wife wanted to get them for me for birthday/Fathers’ Day but instead I opted for a beautiful HELLE sheath knife, the”HD” model – at around the same price as the pants which were kinda pricey compared to say, REI.
