Hey Folks,
Curious if anyone knows what the highest elevation trailhead in the Sierra might be? My guess was Mosquito Flats at the top of Rock Creek at 10,200 ft?

Horseshoe Meadows, below Cottonwood Pass, sits at 10,000 feet.
I think you’re right.
Horseshoe Meadows, Mosquito Flat, Saddlebag Lake, and Virginia Lake trailheads are all pretty close and right around 10,000′
In contrast the “Four Nasty Passes” trailheads are all around 6,000′ with around 6000′ of gain to the pass.
South Lake/North Lake out of Bishop are pretty high.
“South Lake/North Lake out of Bishop are pretty high.”
~9200′ and 9400′ respectively, IIRC.
