I’m planning the final details for a 10-day SEKI traverse, on and off trail, but I’m getting stumped on the return. I’ll be traveling south on the HST on the Kern River, and trying to get back to the Mineral King Ranger Station. It appears the HST and the Big Arroyo Trail run parallel to each other for quite a distance…so I’m wondering if there isn’t a cross-country option near Moraine Lake to pop out in close proximity to the Lost Canyon Trail? That said, how big is the Big Arroyo in terms of river crossings. Thanks for the help – Russ
