I think the issue does have to do with a shallow pitch. My walls don’t look as steep as pics I see.
Maybe a combination of the wall angle more shallow and not having the pole off-set towards the front or rear. You’ve got to have space to set up your bed and whatever you have for an inner.
The angle of the pole(s) definitely makes a big difference. One thing I like about the Cnoc poles is I can get out to around 160 plus or minus which is enough for a dual pole setup.
But the angle of the ridge looked nice and straight in the photo. Trim. I’d pull mine out and check some of those dimensions but we’re having a spell of weather and heat plus we’re about as busy as a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest. Literally the last week of July and first week August is the absolute peak of our entire year.
