I know their hoodies are geared towards running, but I’m wondering how well it would do for backpacking? My main concern would be how fast it could dry over multiple days of  soaking from sweat.

Has anyone used a path project sun hoodie for backpacking?

I have used it, but only in the summer. Despite manufacturer claims, bamboo-cotton or bamboo-polyester blends do not dry quickly.
On the positive side, bamboo blends, particularly with cotton, are the most odor resistant fabric I have used. In my opinion they are great for travel clothing.
I just got the Wadi LS hoodie. I really like it. I have so many sun hoodies:
- Patty Capilene
- Arcteryx Cormac
- Fjallraven Abisko
- OR Echo
- Some Rab one that’s popular
- FarPointe Sun Cruiser
I think this Wadi might be the one I take on an upcoming trip. It is between the echo and Cormac in thinness. Has the large hood similar to the FarPointe Sun Cruiser or Fjallraven Abisko.
Now if it doesn’t dry fast, that will suck. I might take it on a hike this weekend and test if it’ll be dry enough the next day. One thing I really like about it is the button that I think will keep it from being too flappy.
