A bit off topic but I was wondering if there was a good hair clippers/face shaver combo out there. Just looking to reduce how much I have to carry with me for longer trips. Thank you.

A bit off-point: I’ve tried and found that I can shave with only the refill cartridge (no handle), although it is certainly easier if you cut a disposable razor down while leaving yourself an inch of handle to grab.
Is there a multi-use play for a traditional straight razor? Far better for shaving with a 5-day or 20-day beard because it doesn’t clog like a safety razor. And it could replace your knife blade at least for opening packaging. But I doubt anyone offers a lightweight, cut-down version.
Sorry, I meant as an electric.
Just go to a barber shop and get a quick trim. A little bit of money is surely a lot lighter than carrying an electric trimmer all over the place.
I see a variety of battery-powered clippers on eBay and Amazon. Some off-brand ones, others by Wahl which makes a plug-in I’ve been very happy with for a decade now. The smallest, lightest one seems to be this single AA NiMH powered one by Wahl for $40.87 with free Prime shipping, 4 ounces for the unit itself. It is their “peanut” model, the same I’ve been liked as a plug-in and which was recommended to us by a stylist:

There are other options for $10-19 but they appear to be a bit larger and heavier. Also, I suspect the quality isn’t as good. I have been impressed by the quality of their other “Peanut” model.
Edited to add: Several responses to Qs on Amazon indicate that “this product works with rechargeable AA batteries or regular AA.” so you could use cheap alkaline or the lighter / higher-capacity disposable lithium batteries.
Crap, I should know this because Wahl is form my hometown.
