Very nice design, there; I love the fast setup!  I may have to snag one of these for dog-less trips.  I wish there was something in this kind of design that had a larger vestibule, though; 100+ pound pups take up a LOT of room and make double-wall tent selection an exercise in frustration.

That’s why they make 3p tents!

To me the Xmid-2P’s vestibules seem much larger than the dimensions might suggest.  I think this is due to the fact that the doors are relatively steep, so most of the area is actually usable and that big stuff (like a pack) goes where it’s completely out of the entryway yet very easy to reach from inside the tent.  Don’t know if that means it’ll hold your big dog.

Not much holds her.  Just her torso is bigger than my 60L winter pack; her crate has more interior volume than my old Clip Flashlight.

Good point about the vertical-ish walls, though; that’s what attracted me to this style of tent in the first place.  I need to find someone close-by that has one so I can crawl in there and get a better feel for it.

North Carolina!  The state with the beautiful, fragile, sun-kissed barrier islands that are now completely choked with houses!

No DCF in the near term. Would like to do it eventually but it’s not in the works right now.
