Just go outside behind a tree
At +1 C in a rainstorm?
Or -2 C in a snow storm?
I do remember having to go once when it was about -3 C in a snow storm. The tiny shelter hut did not have any ‘facilities’. I got a very cold posterior.
Cheers

An umbrella can help when you need to “Just go outside behind a tree”.
Also, I suspect an umbrella might be on this list for some folks. I grabbed one, but still trying to figure out the specifics of how I want to use it (adding to shelter, lashing to pack strap…).
In a tent or snow cave at 3 am or in a storm, a container does offer some comfort by allowing you to stay inside and minimizes tracking snow back into the tent.
And, while caving, all water bottles are bi-directional (leave no trace).
We often drive to the trailhead, so there’s the road-trip use as well.
But, again, plenty of short, decent-volume, lighter options in the recycling bin for free.
Just make sure you do not confuse your drinking water with your waste water!
My drinking water comes in 1.25 L fizzy mineral bottles, with a 25 mm neck.
Not a problem, even in the dark.
Cheers
