    i’m getting this error when trying to post to Gear Swap. it’s the same if i try to access via cellular network and also via VPN, so i don’t think it’s my local connection. any ideas?

    Hi AG. We are actively troubleshooting a similar problem that has popped up in Trip Reports. We hope to have a resolution in place soon.

    Were you trying to place inline images in your Gear Swap?

    yes, one image via the Choose File / Upload Featured Image button. thanks, -ag

    just tried and unfortunately it’s the same error as before. i also tried with no image upload at all, but same error. thanks!

    AG, do you have another browser or computer/device you can try making a post from? That might help isolate the issue.

    Also please be sure you have any VPN disabled. That could be a potential issue as well. We get a lot of bad traffic from VPNs so our firewall excludes VPN traffic.

    here’s what i’ve tried so far:

    — Chrome and Opera

    — no VPN (default), and VPN via Opera

    — at home w/ cable connection; at work via institutional connection

    — cellular connection via phone tethering

    (because of the above i doubt it’s a connectivity problem on the client side)

     

    it’s possible my BPL account is glitched? maybe you can message me off-forum and assign me a dummy account and i can try testing with that?
