Frame Pack to carry 20L barrel? UL multiday pack canoe trip

I have struck a dilemma, I hate dry bags and they never really last long without doubts begin to emerge of its reliability.

I usually take 18L drypack for 3 day trip with 30+ portages with my 23lb, 14′ long pack canoe.

Decided a watertight 20L barrel is best route, bombproof, much more critter resistant, acts as decent camp stool, along floatation for my pack canoe.

Carrying it is a problem Im facing with, most barrel packs are designed for 60L or partially 30L which is way too big for my needs.

Does anyone has any experience of lashing a small barrel or similar sized drybag (20L) with Kuiu cf frame system, or maybe ULA Epic but seems too big. Got any ideas or pointers along experience perhaps?

How does the size of your 20L barrel compare to bear cans?

The only other external frame packs I’ve seen for sale besides the ones you mentioned are the Kifaru Duplex, Kelty series, and Seek Outside Revolution

It is 16.4″ tall with diameter of  10.8″, I seem to can’t find any minimal dedicated pack to carry bear canister along large mesh and water bottle pockets, nothing else.
