The Flat Cat Gear Focus Fire 15 esbit is the most efficient and clean burning esbit I’ve ever used and I’ve tried quite a few. I’ve used in the field for multiple seasons now, lows of 50 degrees. It leaves little to no residue on the bottom of the pot as it burns clean and hot. I’m able to get hot coffee and boil enough water for a freeze dried dinner all off of one 14 gram esbit. To make due with one cube a day, I’m just warming up 2 cups of water to near boiling, blow it out, use the rest for boiling the water for dinner, typically no more then 2 cups. Protip: The stove width at its base is roughly the required height for the pot distance making it super easy to setup your stakes accurately for optimal performance! Pairs well with a 500ml pot/mug for SUL adventures.
