Hi,
Considering buying a bothy bag for use for 1 person (mainly in case of emergency – and I suspect a bothy is more useful in that case than a bivy bag but it also may get some use for lunch breaks etc). Something cheap but. Silnylon is lighter but too expensive.
Two questions:
- can anyone recommend anything lighter than https://www.vango.co.uk/gb/camping-equipment/987-storm-shelter-200.html?search_query=storm+shelter&results=7 . This is 440g which seems… ummm… heavy. At least it should be robust!
- Should I be concerned about possible health implications of flame retardants (Fire retardant fabrics – Exceeds European EN5912 safety standard)?
NB: The vango is available locally (Australia), saving on some postage.
Many thanks
Stuart
