- When I inflated my beloved Exped pillow on my trip last weekend, it appeared that part of one of the lines that fuse the top side to the bottom side (making it thinner in the middle and more stable) had detached one side from another, making it pretty much unusable. It made it huge on one side and all wobbly under my head. I’m wondering if there is any way to reattach it – the edge of an iron, perhaps? Has anyone else had this happen?

I had this happen and I fixed it by buying a new pillow. I was mad at Exped and bought a different brand. I regret that decision.
I think I got probably 50 nights out of that pillow. How many did you get?
Hard to figure. It’s been at least a year since I used it, maybe two. But probably close to 50 for me too.
I wrote to Exped, but I’ll bet there is no way to fix it. It seems like some sort of adhesive or tape is used, I can feel a strip hanging loose inside it. And unfortunately it’s on the far side from the inflation holes.

It’s a hernia!
Mine delaminated too. Got an RA number from Exped USA then returned the pillow to the provided address. Â They immediately sent a replacement, no questions asked but it does require you to contact them via email first so they can issue the RA number.
okay, thanks! I sent an email this morning, but since it’s a holiday I don’t expect to hear back for a bit.
Yeah, there’s no fixing that. When my Exped ground pad delam’ed, I did an autopsy and found that nothing detached per se; the baffle literally tore down the middle. FWIW.
Wow – they just sent me an RA number, no questions asked (I don’t even have my receipt any more). They said they’d send me a new pillow; I don’t even have to send the old one back to them, just sent a picture of the pillow with the RA# in magic marker on the back and gave them the lot number.
That is excellent customer service, I’m really pleased.
