In late June I am going to my first solo backpacking trip in the Lost Creek Wilderness. My dog will be with me. It is a loop that is close to 26 miles. I’m getting really pumped! I am bringing a tenkara rod and hopefully catch something. Anyways I use loksacks but I don’t have any bear canister/ursack. I’ve car camped in this area several times and never heard of bear issues. Should I get something anyways or just go with what I have? I plan to also do maroon bells with my wife later this year and I know they require a canister now.
