Looking good!
Did you lengthen the guy lines on the pitch lock corners?
They look longer than usual. Thumbs up!
What’s the source of that large Dyneema ground cloth?
Will it still out like that in foul weather use?
Hardest thing with Strat Li is getting the hems tight. I think pitching it with poles shorter than the recommended 125 cm helps.
I’ve often wondered if pitching it Franco’s way (pitchlock corners first) would help, but have not tried it cuz I’m not sure if that method, devised for the silnylon version, might strain the much less forgiving DCF in the pitching.
Yes i did, now you can secure your tent stake better with say a rock, the line can be shorter of course ….
thatโs not Dyneema ground cloth….
itโs thin cheap plastic only used because the grass was very wet ๐…
i ordered Tyvek to make a footprint ๐๐ป
i set both poles at 120 cm.
and then set it up like they show in the instructies movie.
worked for me ๐๐ป…

120cm is the correct length–can also go a bit shorter.

No, that’s incorrect especially for the Li/Dyneema version as there is no way to tension yourself out of an incorrect stake placement. The key is the 4 stakes to set the initial rectangle supporting the two poles and vestibule edges. ย That rectangle needs to be regular and the fabric reasonably taut across all 4 planes. PitchLoc corner placement in then all but automatic.
