Decided to use a Neoair Trekker pad on a recent trip for the first time in a long while and found myself sleeping on hard earth most nights. Today I subjected it to multiple inspections with soapy water and found nothing – not in the front, not in theback, not the valve. The pad definitely leaks, but not very quckly, it looses maybe 50% of its volume each night. Have never had trouble finding leaks of this magnitude in the past with the same approach. Any suggestions? I don’t have a bath tub nor a means of complete submersion.
On an unrelated note, is there a light inflatable pillow that people have found comfortable and durable? I absolutely cannot get a good sleep without a “real” pillow – stuff sacks full of clothers just don’t do it for me. I was quite happy with the Sea to Summit UL pillow despite its price :-) but it seems to have crossed the thin light between ultra light and stupid light – the internal bladder tears relatively easily.
