My winter bag still hasn’t come back from a rejuvenation and I want to get out. I need a warmth boost for my RedRabbit [ Brooks Range] half bag and having seen a couple of these for sale here over the while I’m wondering if somebody could give some real world user feedback

Ditto on the BA Farrington as an overbag although the Farrington might be a bit on the tight side over my Patagonia DAS + midlayers

BS do not really give a user temperature range for either or the GSM of the silver insulation but a rough estimate would be ~80GSM and I’ve seen guess’s around 55 to 60 F. I need a 5C boost to sleep comfortable. I have a custom Nunatak overquilt in a very similar style that gives a 10C but it needs the big wide extra thick mattress to work and I wanted this upcoming trip to be as fast and as lite as I can manage

Help appreciated

I just found a cheap bag so how warm is 150GSM Quallofill when compared to 5.6 ounce APEX or 6 ounce Primaloft Silver and Primaloft Gold?

I just need enough insulation to survive a night out at -10C and I am assuming just the normal 1Clo of cross country clothing plus maybe a Uniqlo UL down parka and at my age my sleeping metabolism is way down on that 25YO male mannequin assumption
