Consider a pyramid tent, such as a Black Diamond Mega Light. We’ve used BD and Oware ‘mids (with floor inserts) for Philmont on 4 treks (& counting). You can easily get 4 Scouts per tent … especially when doing a Philmont style camp, as all the backpacks will be under the dining fly (in the Bearmuda Triangle well away from the tents).
Now we’ve transitioned to all floor inserts being homemade (to be lighter) … but BD has them available too
