LONG time lurker, first time poster! Like, lurking since 2011. lol So, anyway for a long time, I was really into making gear but life happens, you get into new hobbies and passions. I’m not really making gear so much anymore but while I was into it, I accumulated a lot of fabric. This weekend I was going through the garage and I was going to take a lot of it to the Goodwill but I realized that there is some really good fabric here! It would be a waste to just donate it to GW where people wouldn’t appreciate it. Then I thought maybe I could find someone on BPL MYOG who would be interested.

I’m giving all this away, I’m not selling it. So what do I have? I have ripstop, taffetas, sil-nylon, WPB fabrics (2 layer, 2.5 layer, and 3 layer), a bunch of lycra for bindings, and some decently sized pieces of primaloft, mostly 1.8 oz and 3 oz. Most of these fabrics I got either at Seattle Fabrics or from work. I work for an outdoor retailer and at one point, the dev department was throwing out samples and I grabbed a bunch of them. These are professional grade fabrics that the company decided not to go with for whatever reason. It is good stuff.

The total “bulk” is about 3 garbage bags, in case you are wondering. Because of the relative bulk, I’m looking for someone who is local to the Seattle area. I live in Olympia but we could just meet somewhere in the Puget Sound area. And also, tbh, I’m not looking to parcel these out a little a time. This is a bulk transaction! lol So whoever would like them, they can take everything, pick out what they want, and then sell or donate the rest, or whatever they would like to do. I would just like for someone to have them who would appreciate them and put them to good use. If no one is interested in a couple of weeks, I’ll then take them to the Goodwill.

1. These are the rip-stops. They are of decent quality and are good for practice or even some final projects. These are anywhere from 2 yards to about 6 or more.

2. These are the taffetas. Some of them are unbelievable soft and smooth. I really wanted to use these but they just never found their way into a project. Most of these pieces are about 2-3 yards.

3. The WPB fabrics. Like I mentioned, there are 2-layer, 2.5 layer, and 3-layer. These are professional grade fabrics. Most pieces are at least 3 yards and some are 5-6 so plenty of fabric for multiple projects.

4. The lycra fabrics. Great for apparel cuffs and hems.

5. Sil-nylon. These are nice pieces from my company. The burnt orange is huge and is possibly big enough for a tent. The green is also at least 6-8 yards. The other two are about 3+ yards. I have a couple of other pieces that are in the 2 yard range.

6. The synthetics. They are all Primaloft brand and Apex. These are not huge pieces. A couple are 3+ yards, enough for a full jacket but some are smaller and possibly only for misc use.

7. Fleece. These would be good for pocket liners or even inner liners. These are pretty big pieces, about 3 x 5 feet.
