Just a heads up that tonight we deployed an update that sends email notifications to gear swap listing owners when someone posts a comment on their listing.
In addition, if you post a comment on someone else’s listing, and the owner (or anyone) replies to your comment, you will also get an email notification.
Two known issues about this system:
- The listing owner will get notified on all comments, including their own.
- There’s no opt out mechanism for this system. These are transactional, and not marketing emails, and the notifications come with participating in gear swap listing commenting.
Hopefully this will add a lot of value to both listing owners and those who ask questions on listings, so you can stay on top of listings you are interested in.
