I’m going to order an EE Torrid Jacket and trying to decide whether to go with stock 10D inside/outside or whether there is a significant benefit to selecting 7D on the inside or even both inside and outside.
Any thoughts about this or experience with this jacket would be appreciated. Thank you.
I only wear my 7d/7d around camp (carefully) or under another layer and have only gotten one small hole in 3 summers of use. If you are nice to your gear, the 7d will work. I don’t know of any advantage other than a minor weight reduction.
if you hike in it, id say 10d. maybe 7d on the inside would be a compromise. at the end of the day though, with synthetic insulation, if you tear it you wont lose much warmth. justll have to live with duct tape on your sleeve or whatever
